2012 June Holiday Homework
1) Revision of Semester 1 work covered ( With reference to Maths File & 2012 SA1 papers - English SA1 Paper 2, English SA1 Listening Comprehension, Maths SA1 & Science SA1 )
Note: The following books and files have been collected by Miss Lim for checking - English Writing File, English Worksheet File, English Spelling Book, English Reading Comprehension Booklet 1, English Vocabulary Booklets 1&2, Maths Process Skills, Science Worksheet File, Science Process Skills, Science Journal, Diversity Activity Book

4) For the 24 pupils who went to Malacca, please complete Booklet A & B. The pupils are to do a reflection on the orphanage visit in their respective mother tongue. The pupils are also to do a writeup of their experience / trip ( approx 150 - 250 words ) Please refer to past year Every Child A Writer Book. These will be collected in Term 3 Week 1.
For the rest of the pupils, please write a simple journal on how you spend your school holidays

* A writing plan
* Draft 1 - actual writing of the composition
* Draft 2 - corrections/ re-writing the marked composition for publication
* Collection of news article on the topic, with News Article (1) given by the
teacher. Pupils are to collect their own articles as homework from newspapers or
internet, underline and learn the relevant phrases.
* List of relevant words and phrases
Note: Please also refer to the Term 1 & 2 Spelling & Dictation Lists for other relevant words/ phrases
*Sample Compositions
The pupils will learn to use dictionary for their writing. Please get ready a suitable student's dictionary by Term 2 Week 5.

The schedule and scope for the Primary 3 SA1 has been given out to the pupils on Thursday 5th April 2012.
There is an error in the stated scope for Science.
All the topics in the Diversity Textbook will be tested for SA1. A notification on the error has been given out.
